Crews tackle outdoor fire in North Baddesley

Crews from Romsey, St Mary’s, Eastleigh, Hightown, Beaulieu and Fareham have been tackling a fire in Great Covert, North Baddesley involving approximately 3 acres of undergrowth and woodland.

Firefighters worked with onsite staff to create fire break and used beaters and three jets to put out the fire.

There were four fire engines, one Land Rover, and one water carrier at the incident.

The initial call came in at around 13:30 and the stop message at 18:00. The site is to be reinspected at 20:30.
