Crews tackle house fire in Cowplain

A fire involving two cars on a driveway spread to the roof of a house in Cowplain.

Crews from Waterlooville, Horndean, Cosham, Southsea and Portchester were called to an address in Milton Road at 20:20 (5 May).

Six breathing apparatus, one jet, one hose reel and the aerial ladder platform were used to extinguish the fire.

One man was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).

The stop message was received at 22:10 but firefighters returned in the early hours of the morning for a reinspection.
