Crews attend fire at a hotel on the Isle of Wight
Firefighters from across the island responded to reports of smoke and the fire alarm sounding at a hotel in Newport in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Crews from Newport, Cowes, East Cowes and Shanklin attended at 4.34am to extinguish the blaze, which started in the hotel kitchen.
They used eight breathing apparatus, four hose reels and one main jet in the process.
All persons at the hotel are accounted for and found alternative accommodation. Two people were passed into the care of ambulance colleagues.
The stop message was received at 7:45am.
