Crews across the county called to fire at an apartment complex in Basingstoke

Over 80 firefighters from across Hampshire have been attending a large fire at a 3-story apartment complex on Oakridge Road in Basingstoke this afternoon.
Crews from St Marys, Beaulieu, Wickham, Yateley, Alton, Eastleigh, Whitchurch, Winchester, Rushmoor, Fleet, Sutton Scotney, Tadley and Basingstoke were sent by control at 15.20.
The fire in the apartment complex, consisting of 9 blocks, is ablaze on the 2nd floor and roof of the building. Firefighters worked to stop fire spread to surrounding flats.
Relief crews including 6 pumps and 2 aerial ladder platforms from Hampshire stations are now attending the scene to take over, and crews are damping down. They will be present through the night.

A stop messaged was recieved at 00:51.
A secondary relief crews remained on scene during the night to monitor, damping down and working with partner agencies to assess damage to the building.
Fire investigation officers are attending during the morning for further checks.
All persons accounted for and no members of the public were injured.
UPDATE AT 13:00
The HIWFRS Fire Investigation team remain on the scene and the cause is still to be determined. However, the rumours speculating that the cause was a barbecue on the balcony have been discounted.
