Cow with head stuck between two trees rescued by firefighters

Working alongside a local vet, HIWFRS crews released a cow whose head had become stuck between two ash trees in a village in north Hampshire.

On Saturday evening at around half seven, on-call firefighters from Kingsclere, along with animal rescue teams from Lyndhurst and Winchester, were alerted to the scene in Crux Easton.

Using the telehandler and animal rescue techniques, the crews were able to lift and release the animal, who was unharmed, from the trees.
