Benny the dog freed from between two walls in Paw-tsmouth

It wasn’t Santa getting stuck in the chimney this Christmas, it was Benny the dog getting stuck in between two walls!
The Jack Russell had made a terrier-ible mistake by running into a hole in the wall.

A call on the dog and bone saw a Portsmouth fire crew alerted shortly before midday yesterday to the model village on Southsea Esplanade.
An HIWFRS urban search and rescue team arrived on scene and used specialist cameras to locate the two-year-old dog.

Fur-fighters then worked to cut through the brick and free the canine from the cavity.
In a positive end to the tail, Benny only suffered minor scrapes and scratches, and was reunited with his owner before he took the time to stop for a photo-op with his new firefighting heroes!
