Caravan destroyed in Church Crookham blaze

A caravan was destroyed in a Fleet blaze yesterday afternoon.

Fleet and Rushmoor crews were alerted shortly before 4pm, when the HIWFRS Control Room received multiple calls reporting the fire.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the caravan which was well alight when they first arrived on the scene of Wickham Place, Church Crookham.

Ventilation fans were used to clear smoke from the area as police were informed as it is believed the fire was set deliberately.

HIWFRS left the scene and returned to station at around 5pm.
