M3, Northbound , United Kingdom
Basingstoke and Odiham firefighters were called shortly before midday to a car fire on the northbound M3 carriageway between Basingstoke and Hook.
The HIWFRS Control Room received multiple calls reporting the fire.
The road was closed as firefighters tackled the fire which severely damaged the car.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a high-pressure hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 12:24
