Botley firefighters called to industrial estate blaze involving minibus, truck and a speedboat

On-call firefighters from Botley were called at 1:47 this morning following reports of a fire in the industrial estate on Botley Road, Burridge.

The crew arrived to find a minibus and a flat-bed truck fully alight and used one hose reel to stop the blaze.

Both the minibus and the flat-bed truck were destroyed in the fire, with a speedboat suffering 10% damage and a portacabin affected by the heat.

HIWFRS informed Hampshire Constabulary to the incident, which is believed to have been set deliberately.

After damping down the scene and handing the incident over to the landowner, firefighters left the scene at 3:03.
