Resident rescued from Alton cooking blaze

Crews from Hampshire and Surrey were called to a kitchen fire in Claines Street, Alton.

Fire engines from Alton, Rushmoor and across the border in Surrey arrived to find smoke coming from the oven and a female collapsed on the floor.

Firefighters rescued the occupant and provided her with immediate emergency care.

The casualty was passed into the care of paramedics as firefighters put out the fire using a hose reel and cleared smoke from the building.

The stop message came in at 19:09.
