Firefighters at Hardley Fire Station are opening their doors for a jam-packed day of fun and fire safety. The community open day will take place on Saturday 11 June and provide residents with the chance to visit their fire station to gain insight into the wide-ranging role of a firefighter.
The festivities will take place between 10:00-16:00. There will be live fire and rescue demonstrations, showcasing the latest equipment used by firefighters to help keep Hardley and the surrounding area safe. They will be joined by colleagues from Beaulieu, Redbridge and St Mary’s Fire Stations along with the Ambulance Service, Hampshire Constabulary, Forestry Commission and RNLI.
Our open days can be an exciting time, new smells, noises, bright colours, flashing lights and busy equipment can be overwhelming to some. That’s why we will be creating a quiet, safe, and calming space in our sensory tent for children.
With flashing lights and busy equipment, it can be overwhelming for some so there will be a sensory tent available to provide a quiet safe place for children who need it.
Your local crew looks forward to seeing you there!
