Councillor Rhydian Vaughan has been appointed as the Chair of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority (HIWFRA).
Councillor Vaughan is a Conservative member at Hampshire County Council and represents Calleva division.
He was appointed at the first meeting of HIWFRA on Tuesday 15 June following the official formation of the Combined Fire Authority on 1 April 2021.
HIWFRA is the supervisory body responsible for ensuring that Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) performs efficiently and in the best interest of the public and community it serves.
