The team based on Swan Street, have been nominated in the Contribution to the Community category in The Petersfield Awards.
The awards celebrate all the local heroes and businesses within Petersfield, with the ceremony taking place on the evening of Friday 24th October.

As on-call firefighters they train one night a week and respond to incidents when alerted, balancing their life-saving roles alongside work and family commitments.
The team are also involved in reaching out to the community in order to promote the role of on-call firefighters and deliver vital safety messaging.

Station Manager Adam Bundle said:
“It is brilliant to see the on-call firefighters at Petersfield recognised by their community with this nomination.
“The crew are a dedicated team who come together to make life safer in their neighbourhood.
“As on-call firefighters, they live and work near to the station, so naturally they are embedded in their community, but their commitment to helping others, responding to incidents around the clock, shows why they are so deserving of this nomination.
“We are proud of all the incredible work they do.”

An independent panel of judges understandably deemed the Petersfield firefighters worthy of being shortlisted and now face a public vote to see if they triumph.
The public vote is open until the Sunday 12th October, so there’s still plenty of time for you to cast your vote and show your support.
If you think you could become an on-call firefighter, why not find out more?
