A man’s body was found at an address in Archers Road, Eastleigh, following a fire.
Crews from Eastleigh and St Mary’s were called to the property at just before 06:30 on Friday morning (6 May).
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to put out a fire on the ground floor, using hose reel jets and main jets. A ventilation fan was used to clear smoke.
HIWFRS crews left the scene at 09:25 after carrying out post-fire community safety work.
Police have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s family has been informed.
A joint police and fire investigation will take place and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
