Two virtual presentation ceremonies have been held to mark the achievements of the latest two groups of young people who have now successfully completed the HFRS Prince’s Trust Team Programme.
The ceremonies celebrated the hard work and dedication shown by teams Southampton 53 and Basingstoke 29. During each presentation ceremony, team members delivered speeches to explain how the Prince’s Trust Programme has helped them and what their plans are for the future.
Megan Brackley, HFRS Prince’s Trust Manager said:
“This week we have “virtually” celebrated Basingstoke Team 29 and Southampton Team 53 for all their achievements over the past 12 weeks. From building their confidence to shaping their future plans, the young people have shown commitment and the determination to push themselves further. They all did a fantastic job at final presentations and they should all be very proud of what they have achieved over the past 12 weeks. Huge congratulations to every one of the young people and I wish them all the best for their future.”
I would also like to thank our team leaders for delivering two fantastic Team Programmes over the past 3 months. Running the team programme is demanding and this year, despite the pandemic and the move towards a virtual training programme, staff have remained positive and committed to supporting the young people. I also want to say a big thank you for all the staff involved in supporting us throughout the programme, your support is invaluable!”
Darren Coventry, Vice Principal from Eastleigh college (one of HFRS PT team’s founding providers) said:
"Amazing to see what a group of young people can achieve with the right support. Well done to everyone in HFRS Princes Trust team for your dedication and the support you’ve given to this excellent group of young people. You should feel as proud as these young people do with what has been achieved."
Earlier this year HFRS Prince’s Trust team service delivery was graded as ‘outstanding’ for the second year in a row, despite the many obstacles faced due to Covid-19 restrictions. The team managed to rise to the challenge and have successfully adapted the Prince’s Trust Programme so that the majority of the programme is now delivered virtually.
