Wooden bin shed blaze creates smoke plume over Holbury

Beaulieu, Redbridge and Hardley firefighters tackled a fire involving a wooden bin shed which spread to a number of fence panels and caused damage to the doors, windows and roof fascias of two properties on Whitefield Road in Holbury.

The HIWFRS Control Room received a number of calls reporting the fire, and crews could see a large smoke plume before they arrived.

The fire was stopped using hose reels before the smoke was cleared with ventilation fans.

Crews completed home fire safety visits and leaflet drops before returning to station at around half eight.
