Vehicles destroyed in Boxing Day garage blaze on border of Hampshire and Dorset

Firefighters were called to a timber garage fire in Bickton shortly before 9pm on Boxing Day.

On-call crews from Fordingbridge and Ringwood were joined by firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire FRS to tackle the blaze which had engulfed the large structure and three vehicles.

Wearing breathing apparatus sets, the firefighters extinguished the fire using hoses and specialist foam jets.

The stop message came in at around 11pm, with one crew returning the following morning to conduct a reinspection and extinguish remaining hotspots.
