Three fire engines called to Southampton kitchen fire
Firefighters from St Mary’s and Hightown were called to a house fire in Montague Avenue, Southampton, at 08:07 on Saturday (14 August).
A 67-year-old man had already got himself out of the house and was given immediate emergency care by crews before he was handed over to paramedics.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation fan to put out a fire involving cooking in the ground floor kitchen.
The command support vehicle from Eastleigh was also in attendance.
