Rushmoor crew rescue squirrel from railway station rooftop

Squirrel2A squirrel got its head trapped in a hole on a railway station rooftop before it was rescued by Rushmoor firefighters.

The RSPCA were alerted by train passengers to the animal stuck at Farnborough train station on the afternoon of Saturday 12th August.

The Rushmoor crew attended at the request of the RSPCA officers.

Once a train had departed from platform one, firefighters were cleared to use their ladder to reach and release the squirrel who was checked over by the RSPCA.

HIWFRS returned to station at around 4pm.
