Rubbish blaze breaks out in Farnborough waste centre overnight
A blaze involving household waste broke out overnight at a recycling centre in Farnborough.
Fire crews from Rushmoor, Yateley and Surrey FRS were called shortly after midnight to the fire on Lynchford Road.
Specialist vehicles from Alton, Fleet and Basingstoke were also called to the scene.
Approximately 20 tonnes of waste was alight, and extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus using hose reels, jets, ventilation fans and the onsite sprinkler system.
Firefighters returned to station shortly after half two.
