Multiple crews tackle fire in empty domestic dwelling

Multiple crews from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service (HIWFRS) were called to a fire in an empty property in Redenham.

Fire engines from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended to tackle the blaze in the two-story building.

10 fire engines were at the scene and HIWFRS’s incident command unit also attended. Two hose reels, three main jets, two breathing apparatus, and one aerial ladder pump were used.

There were no casualties, and no rescues were made.  Eighty percent of the traditional brick and timber building was destroyed by fire and smoke damage. The stop message came in at 23:35.
