Firefighters release man from overturned van

A man as rescued from an overturned van by firefighters earlier this morning.

Horndean, Havant and Cosham crews were alerted at 6:20am to the incident between junctions 2 and 3 on the A3 southbound.

The vehicle which had hit the central reservation had overturned and was left smoking.

Crews worked to release the man from the van and pass him into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

Firefighters left the scene following the stop message at 7:14am.
