Firefighters tackle car and building blaze in the early hours

Firefighters from across the New Forest were called at 00:22 this morning to a vehicle fire which had spread to a nearby wooden structure on Beaulieu Road.

Crews from Beaulieu, Lyndhurst and Hythe attended to tackle the rapidly developing fire, with further support vehicles coming from Ringwood and Eastleigh.

The crews were able to extinguish the blaze using breathing apparatus, jets and hose reels.

The vehicle was destroyed by the fire, with the structure suffering 25% damage.

Fire and police investigation officers have attended the scene following the stop message at 02:18.
