Firefighters Rescue Two People Trapped in Mud at Calshot Beach
Firefighters rescued two women after their rigid inflatable boat (RIB) became stuck in mud approximately 40 metres from the shoreline at Calshot Beach on Tuesday evening.
Crews from Hardley, Fareham and Redbridge were called to the incident shortly after 10pm. Specialist water and mud rescue teams used dedicated rescue equipment to safely reach the casualties before bringing them back to shore.
Both casualties were then handed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) paramedics for assessment.
The stop message came in at 11:30pm.
