Firefighters lead casualty to safety from Southampton house fire
Southampton firefighters led a casualty to safety following a house fire on Kenilworth Road on Saturday morning.
Crews from St Mary’s, Redbridge and Hightown were alerted at around half 11 after callers to the HIWFRS Control Room reported that smoke was issuing from the building.
Firefighters provided immediate emergency care before handing the casualty over to SCAS paramedics.
The fire was stopped using hose reels before ventilation fans cleared the smoke.
Fire and police will commence an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 12:36.
