Fire in undergrowth at Broxhead Common

Crews from Bordon, Liphook, Rushmoor, Basingstoke, Alton and Surrey FRS were called at 18:29 on 31 March to Broxhead Common where firefighters tackled multiple deep seated fires involving undergrowth.

The fire was approximately 2,000 square metres in size and was extinguished using beaters and hose reel jets.

The electricity board attended due to nearby pylons and Hampshire Constabulary attended for traffic control purposes.

Land Rovers and the Wildfire Unit were required before the stop message came in at 19:52.
