Fire at stables near Itchen Valley

Firefighters were called to a stable fire on Allington Lane, near Itchen Valley in the early hours of the morning.

Crews from St Mary’s, Eastleigh, Hightown, and Fareham attended the incident following the call at 00:32 last night.

Two stable blocks suffered 100% fire damage with minor damage to a third stable block, no animals or people were involved.

Five high-pressure jets and one main jet were used to extinguish the flames, with the stop message coming in at 01:42.
