Crews tackle industrial unit fire in Eastleigh

Crews from Eastleigh, St Mary’s, Winchester, Alresford, Bishops Waltham, Fareham, Portchester and Service Headquarters, attended a blaze involving a large industrial machine at a warehouse unit on Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh.

We were alerted to the incident just after 5.30pm.

Firefighters used 12 breathing apparatus, four main jets and four fans for smoke clearance with the fire manageable, under control then out just after 8pm.

The damage was limited to the machinery and thankfully no one was harmed. The incident stop message was at 9.14pm, with one crew remaining on the site to handover to the site manager before the incident was closed at 10pm.
