Crews stop building blaze in Havant back garden
A fire in the back garden of a house on Woodlands Way in Havant, spread to a number of buildings and bushes this morning.
The HIWFRS Control Room received around 30 emergency calls shortly before 9am.
Crews from Havant, Cosham and Southsea were mobilised before further resources for Fareham, Portchester, Wickham an Emsworth were requested to support.
Several gas cylinders were removed from the affected buildings, with firefighters working to cool them down and make safe.
The building was destroyed in the blaze which was extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus using jets and hose reels.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a nearby bonfire spreading to the affected outbuildings and bushes.
Crews delivered community safety leaflets to neighbouring addresses prior to the stop message at 12:18.
