Cocker Spaniel, Lando, rescued from reservoir by on-call firefighters

Lando the cocker spaniel was rescued by firefighters from a New Forest reservoir on Sunday morning (22 June).

On-call firefighters from Ringwood were alerted shortly before half nine to the incident off of Alderholt Road in Somerley.

The dog appeared uninjured but was unable to get out of the 4-metre deep concrete pit.

The crew were able to rescue the animal and return him to his owner, before they left the scene at around 10am.
