Car drives through library wall leading to call-out for Hardley crew
A road traffic collision in a Hythe car park resulted in a car going through the wall of a library.
Hardley firefighters were called at 11:14 this morning (17 October) to the incident at the library on Pylewell Road.
Two casualties who were in the car were able to exit the vehicle, but then found themselves locked within the library building.
The HIWFRS crew made entry into the building and led the casualties to safety before providing them with Immediate Emergency Care.
The firefighters handed the casualties over to South Central Ambulance Service paramedics, before making the scene safe by stabilising the vehicle.
The incident was handed over to Hampshire Constabulary before the crew returned to station at 12:19.
