Car crash leads to road closure near Romsey

romsey1An on-call crew from Romsey Fire Station were alerted to the two-vehicle collision shortly before 7pm last night.

Firefighters arrived at the scene on Romsey Road in Stonymarsh to find all persons involved had safely exited the vehicles.

The crew provided Immediate Emergency Care to the four casualties involved who had suffered minor injuries and were passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

Police colleagues were in attendance to close the road as HIWFRS made the scene safe.

Firefighters left the scene and returned to station following the stop message at 20:25.

This is an important reminder for drivers to slow down, wear a seatbelt, avoid distractions and ensure you aren’t impaired by drink or drugs.
