Burley blaze tackled by multiple crews

A fire broke out at a Burley property, which is under construction, just before 20:00 on Thursday 8 May.

Crews from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service worked alongside firefighters from Burley, Ringwood and Fordingbridge. The stop message was issued at 23:32. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

The fire has now been extinguished. We will be maintaining a presence on scene for some time, to monitor and dampen down.

Firefighters from Burley, Ringwood and Fordingbridge are working with crews from Dorset & Wiltshire. Hose reel jets and Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) are being used and the fire is now under control.

We are requesting that members of the public avoid travelling to the area, to allow access for emergency vehicles.
