M271 south,
Crews from Redbridge, Eastleigh and St Mary’s were called to a lorry trailer fire on the M271 at 15:47.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which involved the tyres and axel.
The vehicle was handed over to a recovery service before the stop message came in at 17:13.
