Young Fire Cadets joined forces to collect for their local food bank.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service’s (HIWFRS) Fire Cadets unit at Eastleigh headquarters worked together to support those struggling with the cost of living this winter.
Donations of essentials – including pasta, tins and nappies – were collected by the 13-17 year-olds, as part of their commitment to making a difference in their community.
The donations were collected earlier this month and gratefully received by Eastleigh Basics Bank, a charity providing food parcels to people experiencing financial hardship.
The charity thanked the cadets for their kindness and for the ‘significant donation’.
