  1. Recent incidentFirefighters called to West Quay restaurant blaze17/12/2018Southampton firefighters tackled a fire which began in a pizza oven in a West-Quay restaurant. Crews from St Mary’s, Cosham, Hightown, Eastleigh and Service Headquarters were called this morning (17 Dec) to reports of smoke coming from a vent at the shopping centre. The fire spread to the roof space via ducting and was extinguished using four sets of breathing apparatus, two jets and one stirrup pump.   2. Recent incidentLorry crashes into thatched cottage near Fordingbridge07/12/2018A lorry has crashed into a thatched cottage in Breamore near Fordingbridge. The crash happened at 06:42 and four engines from Fordingbridge and Redbridge, and Dorset and Wiltshire, attended with specialist vehicles. A person trapped on the first floor was walked to safety using a ladder. Hampshire Constabulary and South Central Ambulance Service were also in attendance. The stop message was at 08:23.

  4. Recent incidentCrews extinguish electrical fire at Southampton General Hospital28/11/2018Crews dealt with an electrical fire at Southampton's main hospital this morning (November 28). Seven engines were sent to Southampton General Hospital, but the small fire was confined to an electrical cupboard in the north block. Two carbon dioxide extinguishers were used to put out the fire, with two fans used for clearing smoke. The fire was believed to have been caused by an overloaded inverter. The stop message was sent at 9.47am.

The first 999 call was received at 05:21 after a member of the public had heard a smoke alarm sounding in the property.
