High-rise buildings such as purpose-built blocks of flats and apartments are designed with fire safety as a priority and are built to delay the spread of fire.
Knowing the correct action to take during a fire could save lives. Your building’s evacuation strategy may fall under one of two key categories: Stay Put or Full Evacuation. Learn what each one means and how to respond appropriately.
This strategy applies to purpose-built blocks of flats that are built to contain a fire within a flat for 60 minutes.
