Name: Megan Brackley

Role:  Prince’s Trust Team Leader

Why did you want to work for the Prince’s Trust?

I started working with the Prince’s Trust on a secondment from the police to help improve my leadership skills.

After assisting running a team in Rushmoor in 2015 I fell in love with the job and grew a passion for helping support young people, so I applied for a permanent role as a team leader.

What’s the best part of your job?

Seeing the young people on our programmes grow over the 12 weeks. Knowing I have been able to help them achieve so many things whether it be confidence, leadership or finding a job. This makes it one of the best jobs for anyone to do.

What’s your favourite film?

Kayleigh PT leader

Name: Kayleigh Jones

Role: Team Leader

Why did you want to work for the Prince’s Trust?

I have been very lucky to travel the world on cruise ships around the world, working with teens and young families. Since being home I have had the chance to use my experience and knowledge to help young people for the better through the Team Programme.

What’s the best part of your job?

The best part of the job is seeing the change in the young people that happens throughout the 12 weeks.

What’s your favourite film?

I don't think I have a favourite film but I love the series 'Friends' and feel I can quote every episode.

I am a very sporty person and love to watch or participate in any sport. I try to incorporate sport into my team in every way I can.

Something people may not know about you.

My I used to do Irish dancing and my brother dances alongside Michael Flatley in Lord of the Dance.

Name: Paula Hankin

Role:  Team Leader

Why did you want to work for Prince’s Trust?

My main reason was to show young people that you can do it!

I don’t care about your background or what has happened in the past, if you are willing to change then I will give you 110% of my time to support you.

Life is challenging at the best of times but having someone there to guide and support you is motivation to be who you want to be!

What’s the best part of your job?

Watching young people grow in confidence and work as a team.  Being able to stand up at the end of the 12 weeks and speak in front of an audience having completed their goals is a very proud moment.

What’s your favourite film?

I love a good horror film!!!  Love the Saw series!

I have a horse called Rocko who I like to compete and win rosettes. I also like all crafts including cross stitch, making cards and textile cushions.  I also volunteer at a Brownie and Guide unit in my local area.

Something people may not know about me:

I am the eldest of 7 children – its hard work! So I know all the tricks in the book!

PT team - Karen (JPG)

Name: Karen Farr

Role: Children and Young People Manager

Why did you want to work for the Prince’s Trust?

I passionately believe in the potential of young people!  Being a young person these days is so hard and I wanted to help young people who are struggling to feel positive about themselves and develop confidence and self-belief.

I’ve worked for Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service Prince’s Trust Team for 10 years and I still passionately believe that the programme changes lives and I am very proud to be a part of that!

What’s the best part of your job?

As the manager, I spend a lot of time in the office on the computer and doing paperwork, so the best part of my job is when I get to escape and spend time with the young people on Team.

I also love final presentations when the Team tell their families, friends and people who have supported them about their journey on Team.  I always feel immense proud when I hear our young peoples’ stories and for my staff who support them.

What’s your favourite film?

Love Actually - I love a good romantic comedy.

Spending time with my family, socialising with friends, going to the cinema, walking and being by the sea.

Something people may not know about me:

I have a star named after me!
