The cub had managed to get into a wall in The News Centre building of The News newspaper, in London Road, Portsmouth. Watch Manager and animal rescue expert Adrian Knight attended after being contacted by the RSPCA. The animal was trapped with one of its front paws stuck. There was minor heat damage to the fascia, soffits and guttering of a house in Testwood Road, Southampton. A tree was also damaged. 14/07/2017 10:21Pupils evacuated after school fireA school in Farnborough was evacuated this morning following a fire in the assembly hall. Crews from Rushmoor, Eastleigh and Surrey attended to tackle the fire which involved the stage in the hall. 10/07/2017 11:10Animals die in Hook fireFive pigs, two sheep and one goat have died following a fire in Hook this morning. Hartley Wintney, Fleet and Surrey crews were called to a fire in a range of outbuildings used as storage and stables on Farnham Road. The outbuildings suffered 100% damage by the fire with four hose reel jets involved in stopping the blaze. 10/07/2017 04:06Fire in two Southampton homes tackled by crewsCrews were called to tackle a blaze in two domestic properties in Poole Road, Southampton earlier this morning. Vehicles from Hightown, St Mary's and Eastleigh used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two jets to fight the fire. The electricity company attended the incident to isolate the electricity to all neighbouring properties. The stop message came in at 08:15 with a re-inspection planned for 10:00 this morning.
