09/04/2017 17:25High-rise fire - RedbridgeFire crews from across the county were called to a large-scale high-rise fire. The blaze broke out on the floor 12 at Redbridge Towers in Southampton at about 17:25. There were about 50 firefighters in attendance. There were 10 fire engines plus specialist vehicles including aerial ladder platform and ultra-high pressure lance. The flat was severely damaged. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt. 06/04/2017 08:29House fire - Ash ValeTwo pumps from Rushmoor were called to a property on Sycamore Drive, Ash Vale this morning after reports of a fire. On arrival crews found a fire in the first floor bathroom of the terraced property, which was tackled using two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet alongside positive pressure ventilation fans. 05/04/2017 16:54Fire in the open - Yateley CommonTwo pumps (from Yately and Hartley Wintney) and two wildfire units (from Hartley Wintney and Rushmoor) were called to Yateley Common this afternoon after reports of a fire. The fire involved 3-4 hectares of dense gorse and undergrowth which were destroyed by fire. Crews tackled the flames using six hose reels and two knapsack pumps. There were no injuries in the fire, and the stop message was received at 18:25.Yateley Common

02/04/2017 18:12Thatched roof fire - RomseyCrews from St Mary's, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh and Cosham attended a property on Luzborough Lane, Romsey this evening for a fire involving the thatched roof. The fire damaged around 15% of the roof, and crews created a fire break and removed thatch from the roof to halt the spread of the fire. Firefighters also used two sets of breathing apparatus, four compressed air foam jets and one hose reel. No one was injured in the fire, and the stop message was put back at 20:22.Luzborough Lane

29/03/2017 15:20Scrap yard fire - FarlingtonFive pumps from Cosham (two), Havant (two) and Portchester (one) were called to a scrap metal yard on Marshlands Road, Farlington today after reports of a fire. On arrival crews tackled a fire involving scrap metal and machinery covering an area of around five meters by 20 meters, which is believed to have started due to overheating machinery. 28/03/2017 08:03Vehicle fire - PortsmouthTwo Southsea pumps were called to a petrol station on Kettering Terrace, Portsmouth this morning after reports of a fire in a caravan. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus, and make two butane gas cylinders safe at the scene. 27/03/2017 13:36Mud rescue - MinsteadWe received a call to a 56-year-old woman stuck in mud up to her waist after she went for a walk from the Sir Walter Tyrrell pub, near Minstead in the New Forest. Crews from Redbridge and Fareham located the woman near Malwood Farm and were able to safely release her from the mud. She was suffering from the effects of the cold but was checked over by ambulance crews and did not need to go to hospital. Minstead

26/03/2017 15:24Fire - Copythorne, near CadnamOur Control room recieved a number of calls to a large fire in the open near Copythorne, just north of Cadnam. Around 25 firefighters used hoses, beaters and knapsack tanks to tackle the fire. An area of one hectare of scrubland was left badly damaged by the fire, as well as several wooden telephone pylons. The electricity board were called to assess the pylons. The fire was dealt with by 17.24 and the cause is now under investigation. Barrow Hill Road

23/03/2017 05:14House fire - SouthamptonTen people and a dog were rescued from a house fire in Southampton this morning (Thursday 23 March). Crews from Redbridge, St Marys and Hightown fire stations were called to St Mary Street, Southampton after reports of a fire in the stairwell of a flat above a shop. They tackled the blaze with two jets and a hose reel, also using using four sets of breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation fans.
