Appliances from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh, Service Headquarters and Fareham fire stations attended the incident which saw thick black smoke emanating from the shop.
The store was safely evacuated and there were no reports of any injuries.

|06/03/2018 01:20||Firefighters tackle Lee-on-the-Solent high street shop fire||Firefighters from across Hampshire were called to a fire in the high street of Lee-on-the-Solent in a building used as a shop and flats.
Crews from Gosport, Fareham, Southsea, Portchester and Cosham tackled the fire in the roof space of the three-storey building in the early hours.
Further crews from across the county arrived to relieve the firefighters who were first on the scene and had been working throughout the night.

|03/03/2018 19:49||Historic cottages devastated by fire near Andover||Fire has devastated two period cottages in a picturesque Hampshire village.
The fire started in the thatched roof of the adjoining properties and spread to the two floors.
Thankfully no-one was injured in the incident.
At its height, more than 70 firefighters from Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire were needed to tackle the blaze.
However, the work of the crews prevented the flames spreading to another neighbouring property.

|03/03/2018 12:11||Chandler’s Ford house damaged after fire starts in log pile||A house in Chandler’s Ford was damaged after a fire spread from a log pile.
Crews from Eastleigh, St Mary’s, Hightown, Winchester and Redbridge were called to Thornbury Wood just after 12.10pm.
More than 20 firefighters used a high-pressure lance, as well as hoses and jets, to tackle the flames.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
The fire had started in a log pile behind the house’s garage. It spread to the garage and then also into the roof space of the bedroom above it.

The fire affected the ground floor workshop and first floor office.

|15/02/2018 03:51||Children rescued from Southampton flat by firefighters||Two children were rescued from a first floor flat after a fire in a Southampton shop early this morning (February 15).
Two adults and a dog were also led from the flat above the shop by firefighters in breathing apparatus.
The group were taken to Southampton General Hospital for precautionary check ups but suffered no serious injuries.

The blaze had broken out after the occupant had left the hob on, with a saucepan and plastic colander on top, and gone out
A neighbour heard the alarm and looked through the letterbox and saw smoke and heard the dog barking.
We were called at 12;21 and two crews from Havant and Cosham attended.
The dog is thought to be a cross breed spaniel.
Firefighters gained entry and rescued the dog.

|07/02/2018 22:10||More than 50 firefighters tackle Whitchurch farm blaze||A farmhouse and a mill were badly damaged in a large fire in Whitchurch.
More than 50 firefighters attended the blaze in London Road which is now under control.
There were 12 fire engines from Whitchurch, Overton, Andover, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, Basingstoke, Eastleigh and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service as well as support vehicles including the Environmental Protection Unit used to protect the nearby river.

|31/01/2018 03:00||Commercial garage fire tackled by Eastleigh crews||Fire crews were called to a commercial garage fire in Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh at three o’clock this morning (31 Jan).
Six fire appliances and several support vehicles came from Eastleigh, St Mary’s, Portchester, Hightown and Redbridge fire stations and found smoke and flames issuing on arrival.

|30/01/2018 06:25||More than 30 firefighters attend Basingstoke restaurant blaze||More than 30 firefighters were called to a fire in a Basingstoke restaurant.
The blaze was on a second floor and believed to have started in the cooking extraction system.
Seven engines from Basingstoke, Odiham, Hartley Wintney and Overton attended the fire at Festival Place along with an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) from Basingstoke and a Command Unit from Rushmoor.
A hose reel, four sets of breathing apparatus and tactical ventilation was used.
