More than 50 firefighters tackle Whitchurch farm blaze
Description of Incident
A farmhouse and a mill were badly damaged in a large fire in Whitchurch.
More than 50 firefighters attended the blaze in London Road which is now under control.
There were 12 fire engines from Whitchurch, Overton, Andover, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, Basingstoke, Eastleigh and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service as well as support vehicles including the Environmental Protection Unit used to protect the nearby river.
London Road was closed due to the number of vehicles that were present with relief crews arriving throughout the incident to take over from the firefighters who worked through the night.
The blaze damaged the ground floor, first floor and roof.
Nobody was hurt in the fire that broke out at 22:10.
Crews used a number of jets and foam.
