|19/08/2019 01:32||Early morning wake up call for family without working smoke alarms||Crews from Fareham and Eastleigh were called to Westminster Gardens in Fareham in the early hours of Monday morning to a fire in the ground floor of a house.
The fire appeared to have been started by a mobile phone charger. The smoke alarms were not working as they had no batteries and the families only way to escape would have been through the fire.

|15/08/2019 09:46||Chiquita the miniature horse rescued by firefighters from a concrete drain||Crews from Cosham, Winchester, Brockenhurst, Gosport, and the Eastleigh USAR Team were called to Purbrook Heath Road in Waterlooville when a miniature horse was found trapped in a 1.5m concrete drain.
The horse measured 9.2 hands and weighed approximately 250kg.
Equine vets and animal rescue experts also came to the scene to assist.
Chiquita was successfully lifted from the drain using an animal rescue harness and USAR manitou.

|09/08/2019 13:57||Firefighters remove two-foot snake from Aldershot woman's home||Crews were called to Heron Wood Road in Aldershot after a woman found a two-foot snake in a larder.
The species was found to be a grass snake and was removed by Animal Rescue Advisor Paul Rance, who is based at Lyndhurst, and the RSPCA.
This was carried out using snake sticks and a pillow case.
The reptile was released unharmed into woodland.

|05/08/2019 13:19||A terrace of four thatched properties involved in Sutton Scotney blaze||Multiple crews from across the county were called to a terrace of four thatched cottages with the roof well alight, on Stockbridge Road in Sutton Scotney.
On arrival crews found there was very heavy smoke coming from the roof.
Firefighters engaged in a salvage operation as well as fighting the fire in the two-storey building.

|24/07/2019 12:42||Warehouse blaze near Alresford stopped by Hampshire firefighters||A fire in a commercial warehouse used for metal fabrication and paint spraying was tackled by firefighters from across the county.
The 70 metre by 30 metre warehouse on the Barton Industrial Estate in Upper Wield, near Alresford, saw fire appliances attend from Alton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Petersfield, Service Headquarters and Rushmoor.

|12/07/2019 21:28||Firefighters tackle Gosport heathland fire throughout the night||A large heathland fire on Browndown Ranges in Gosport was tackled by firefighters late into last night.
Pumps and specialist vehicles came from stations including Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Eastleigh, Portchester, Lyndhurst, Wickham and Cosham.
Two hectares of heath and gorse were destroyed in the fire which was stopped using seven hose reels.

|12/07/2019 10:10||Printing press blaze in Southampton extinguished by firefighters||Hampshire firefighters extinguished a fire involving a printing press and liquid solvents at an industrial unit on Hazel Road in Itchen, Southampton.
The building was evacuated and there were no casualties involved.

|04/07/2019 11:16||Smoke plume from Hythe fish and chip shop blaze||About 30 firefighters were called a blaze at Marina Fish Bar in Hythe.
Six crews from Hythe, Beaulieu, Hardley, Lyndhurst, Redbridge and St Mary's attended.
The fire was in the roof space and started in the extraction system.
Four sets of breathing apparatus, two jets and two hose reels were used.

|27/06/2019 11:58||Portsmouth firefighters tackle Port lorry fire||Two crews from Southsea were called to a fire involving an articulated lorry at Portsmouth International Port just before midday.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and Compressed Air Foam Solution (CAFS) to stop the fire which had caused a large amount of smoke and could be seen from a distance.
The driver of the vehicle was treated for smoke inhalation by crews before being passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

Crews from Ringwood, Burley, Redbridge, St Mary’s, Fordingbridge and Lyndhurst were joined by specialist support vehicles at the scene on Green Lane in Upper Kingston at 00:57 this morning.
The fire involving two shipping containers and a building used as a car workshop also had cylinders inside which were cooled by firefighters.
