16/11/2016 23:36Residential fire - AldershotThree crews from Rushmoor have attended a severe house fire. The fire started in the kitchen where food had been left unattended. The house was damaged by fire and smoke. Firefighters attending the scene said the family would probably have been killed were it not for the smoke alarm in the property at Woodland Walk. 15/11/2016 16:48Hazmat - LymingtonCrews were callled to a report of a leak of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) at a petrol station in Lymington. The leak was discovered in the line between the tank and dispenser. The tank was isolated and around 50 litres of LPG was vented into the air, with large fans used to help disperse the gas. A 100m cordon was put in place around the area while the operation took place. No-one was injured during the incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public. The terraced building is a commercial premises with residential accommodation above. 11/11/2016 02:56Residential fire - GosportFour crews from Gosport, Cosham and Fareham attended a fire in Forton Road, Gosport. The fire was in a storage area on the ground floor. Firefighters led 11 people to safety including three young children. Residents were aged from under a year old to 33. Four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two jets were used and the three-storey building was heavily smoke-logged. 10/11/2016 07:32Fire - PortsmouthA 999 caller reported that their electrics had blown and there was smoke in their house. Control operators advised the woman to stay out of the house and two crews from Cosham were called to investigate. They discovered a smell of burning and found an overloaded plug socket to be the cause of the smoke. The crews unplugged and removed the socket and the stop message came in at 7.45am. 04/11/2016 10:33Residential fire - WinchesterCrews from Winchester and Eastleigh saved a dog, two guinea pigs and a parrot from a fire in a ground floor lounge. They used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel, a jet and tactical ventilation. Sadly two tortoise and two birds died in the blaze. The dog was given oxygen and other animals were checked by a vet.
