20/04/2017 11:43Fire - SouthamptonWe recieved more than 20 999 calls to a large fire at an industrial site off Empress Road in Southampton. The fire spread across four commercial units, used mainly as car workshops, and at its height more than 60 firefighters were needed to tackle the incident. All four units have been severely damaged by the fire and crews will remain on the scene throughout the night damping down and ensuring there is no reignition. 18/04/2017 10:37Hazmat - Sutton ScotneyWe were called to a report of a chemical spillage at an address in Sutton Scotney this morning. A 200-litre drum had split and spilled around five litres of an agricultural chemical on the back of a farm vehicle, with a small amount dripping on to the gravel floor. Firefighters in breathing apparatus were able to turn the drum to stop the leak, and used absorbent granules and mats to mop up the chemical. The stop message was received at 12.12. Norton

16/04/2017 15:52Kitchen Fire - LockerleyCrews from Romsey and Redbridge attended a kitchen fire in a ground floor flat on Butlers Close. Two breathing apparatus sets and one jet was used to tackle the fire. No one was harmed. The stop came in at 16:33. The cause of the fire is still to be investigated. Butlers Close

16/04/2017 12:04House fire - PortsmouthCrews from Southsea attended a house fire on the first floor of an end of terrace property. One female was rescued by crews and taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation. A dog from the property was bravely rescued by a passer by, before the crews were at the scene. Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used to contain the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is being investigated. The stop came in at 13:11. Goldsmith Avenue

09/04/2017 17:25High-rise fire - RedbridgeFire crews from across the county were called to a large-scale high-rise fire. The blaze broke out on the floor 12 at Redbridge Towers in Southampton at about 17:25. There were about 50 firefighters in attendance. There were 10 fire engines plus specialist vehicles including aerial ladder platform and ultra-high pressure lance. The flat was severely damaged. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt. On arrival crews found a fire in the first floor bathroom of the terraced property, which was tackled using two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet alongside positive pressure ventilation fans. 05/04/2017 16:54Fire in the open - Yateley CommonTwo pumps (from Yately and Hartley Wintney) and two wildfire units (from Hartley Wintney and Rushmoor) were called to Yateley Common this afternoon after reports of a fire. The fire involved 3-4 hectares of dense gorse and undergrowth which were destroyed by fire. Crews tackled the flames using six hose reels and two knapsack pumps. 02/04/2017 18:12Thatched roof fire - RomseyCrews from St Mary's, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh and Cosham attended a property on Luzborough Lane, Romsey this evening for a fire involving the thatched roof. The fire damaged around 15% of the roof, and crews created a fire break and removed thatch from the roof to halt the spread of the fire. Firefighters also used two sets of breathing apparatus, four compressed air foam jets and one hose reel. No one was injured in the fire, and the stop message was put back at 20:22.Luzborough Lane
