Flats damaged in Farnborough block blaze
Description of Incident
Fire crews from Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey tackled a blaze in a three-storey block of flats in Farnborough.
Vehicles from Rushmoor, Fleet, Basingstoke and Hartley Wintney were supported by colleagues from across the border at the fire on Wood Lane.
Called at just after 8pm to a fire affecting the roof of the building, firefighters used eight sets of breathing apparatus, two jets, two hose reels and the Aerial Ladder Platform to stop the blaze.
Nobody was hurt in the fire which caused severe damage to the roof as well as smoke and water damage to one flat and another two flats suffering just water damage.
The stop message came in at 22:04 with officers liaising with Rushmoor Borough Council to arrange accommodation for the residents who needed rehousing.
