Two pensioners treated after Portsmouth care home blaze
Description of Incident
Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a care home in Clarence Parade, Southsea.
Three crews from Southsea attended and assisted staff with the evacuation of residents from the ground floor.
Two sets of breathing apparatus were used along with one hose reel and tactical ventilation.
The fire started in an extractor fan in an electrical cupboard.
Two people - one in their 70s and another in their 80s - were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).
Crews left the scene at 02:01.
