Eight breathing apparatus and three jets and two hose reels were used to tackle the blaze. The Boomtique campsite next to the car park was evacuated as a precaution, but suffered no damage. The stop message was received at 22:38.The initial joint investigation by the fire and police services found the most likely cause of the fire to be a discarded cigarette igniting ‘stubble’ on the ground by the parked vehicles.
