Two girls and mum rescued from Portsmouth house fire
Firefighters rescued two girls and a mother after a cooking fire broke out in a Portsmouth home.The blaze was in a second floor maisonette at Farmside Gardens in Hilsea.Three engines attended from Cosham and Southsea, and a support vehicle from Portchester. Crews broke the door down to gain access.Four sets of breathing apparatus were used along with one hose reel and tactical ventilation.The girls and the mother were passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service who took them to Queen Alexandra Hospital as a precautionary measure.
