Firefighters were called out after a pony fell and got trapped between two trees.Crews from Hightown and Lyndhurst attended along with a specialist vehicle from Winchester.The team used manual manipulation to free the mare which was 12 hands tall and weighed 250kg.A vet was also in attendance.After being released the pony was able to walk back to its stables.The incident was near Woodhouse Lane, in Hedge End.The stop message was at 15:33.
