Thatched roof fire – Romsey

Crews from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh and Cosham attended a property on Luzborough Lane, Romsey this evening for a fire involving the thatched roof.The fire damaged around 15% of the roof, and crews created a fire break and removed thatch from the roof to halt the spread of the fire. Firefighters also used two sets of breathing apparatus, four compressed air foam jets and one hose reel.No one was injured in the fire, and the stop message was put back at 20:22.
